To achieve a healthy nutritional cycle, Zirma projects are divided into three main sectors: agriculture, moune and livestock.
i. Agriculture: Locals put their neglected lands in the custody of Zirma’s youth, who set it up and grow various types of vegetables in an organic way. Most Zirma workers are paid monthly or daily wages for their work. The products are sold locally at low prices and we reinvest the profits by developing projects (increasing the number of lands and workers, adopting modern irrigation and farming methods...).
ii. Moune: The Zirma team cooperates with experienced women to transform agricultural products into natural household goods (jams, pickles, juices, tomato paste, vinegar...). Thus, we empower women in our society and provide every home with the best quality food at the best prices.
iii. Livestock: The Zirma team raises livestock to benefit from their milk and meat. And we feed it the leftover vegetables from agriculture, to avoid wastage. We started by raising a modest number of local goats and sheep to gain experience and be able to develop ourselves and deal with foreign livestock soon.
